Lila Meredith

Lila, born in San Francisco, California on March 6, 1928, was the only daughter of Alexander De Griaznov and Alexandra Lasfelt De Griaznov, who emigrated from Kazan, Russia to Harbin, China and then to the United States of America, first settling in San Francisco. Lila grew up in Los Angeles.

Lila was predeceased by the love of her life, James Meredith, to whom she was married for sixty years. Lila often shared her many fond memories of living in London for several years with the love of her life.

During her youth, Lila was a dancer and loved ballet dancing. Lila worked for Arthur Godfrey, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Lila appreciated living the good life.

Lila lived life joyfully and expressed appreciation to those who cared for her during her later years.

A committal service for Lila will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4199 Webster Avenue, Bronx, NY 10470.
