Mrs. Lillian Byrd, born August 31st, 1911 in Fairfax, North Carolina came to New York in the early 1940's where she took a job in the garment district. There is where she met and married Newton Byrd. She lived at 110th St, New York, NY until she retired in 1985 was unable to continue to live by herself. Mrs. Byrd departed this life on Sunday, August 16th as she was resting at the Northern Manhattan Nursing Home. Mrs. Lillian Byrd leaves to mourn, Mrs. Virginia Byrd, sister-in-law and niece Debra Jackson of Willingboro NJ, niece Joanie McIntosh of Witicha KS. Services will be held on August 25th at Walter B. Cooke, 352 E. 87th St. Manhattan.
