Linda Louise Holston, beloved sister of J.B. Holston and Sherry Strayer, died July 23rd in New York City. She was the daughter of Marilyn Jean Holston and James B. Holston, Jr.
Linda was born in Indiana, lived for a few years in Ohio, then moved with her family to California. She studied Theatre and Dramatic Arts at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. For many years she lived and worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before relocating to Manhattan for her theatrical career. She performed as a singer and actor throughout her life, in venues from California to Manhattan.
Linda is survived by her sister Sherry Strayer of Ashland City, Tennessee; brother J.B. Holston and sister-in-law Anne Murdaugh of Washington D.C.; her nephew Benjamin Holston of San Francisco, California, and her niece Lianna Holston of Los Angeles, California.
Linda was vibrant, effusive and exuberant, filling every room with light, laughter and love. She was a talented sales executive, and had tremendous gifts as a performer, which she was thrilled to pursue in Manhattan, including through the William Esper Studio. Linda loved her dogs everywhere she lived, and was a wonderful care provider to her father after her mother passed in Albuquerque.
