Rosen, Lorraine Adler, 99, passed away peacefully with family by her side at her home in Manhattan on May 17. Daughter of Milton and Frances Dubin Adler, born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Woonsocket, RI. Beloved wife for 66 years of the late Dr Sidney W Rosen of Fall River, MA. She is survived by daughter Melanie Rosen (Mitchell Brooks), cherished granddaughter Gillian Rose Lynde (Marc Lynde), and great grandson Sidney.
Lorraine graduated from Pembroke College (Brown University) with a degree in art history, with engineering and interior design training at Rhode Island School of Design. She worked at Filene’s, then later, volunteered at Charleton Memorial Hospital and managed her husband’s medical office. A talented colorist, she shared her love and considerable knowledge of interior design, classical music, art, architecture, and sculpture with family and friends. She will be missed by all.
A memorial service to celebrate Lorraine's life will be held on May 29 at 12 noon at Congregation Emanu-El of the City of New York, One East 65th Street, New York, NY, in the Beth El Chapel.Entrance on Fifth Avenue at 65th St. All who knew and loved Lorraine are invited to attend and pay their respects.
