Sadly, the family mourns the loss of their beloved husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. He was the devoted son of the late Bess and Ben Abramson. Lou was loved and cherished by his wife Beverley, daughter Lisa and son-in-law Wayne, and granddaughters Alex and Melanie. His heart was filled with love and adoration for them. Lou was the dearly loved brother of the late Fran Suknow. He was a loving and compassionate son-in-law to the late Emma and Sol Bellsey, and a very caring uncle and great uncle. Lou was born in Philadelphia and came to NYC at the age of 21. He was a member of the Naval Reserves during the Korean war and never hesitated to remind anyone what a privilege it was to be an American. With a strong work ethic, he was respected for his input in the children's wear industry for over 65 years. His sense of humor, sincere and kind nature will be remembered not just by family, but friends and colleagues as well.
