Louis Glick was the greatest busimessperson I have ever known.  What he accomplished in business was amazing.  
But far beyond that was how he treated people; with kindness and caring.  
Every day I can call upon a lesson from him to help me in all aspects of life.  I am so thankful and honored to have known him and been able to work for him.

Mr Glick  for me was religious Jewish man whose quiet strength, deep emunah, and genuine care for me shaped who I am and made him both my inspiration and my mentor and was a true legend.
And of course to so many other people an friends

I was a third-generation diamantaire in New York for 25 years. Louis Glick was a titan in the diamond business. Everybody knew Louis Glick. Yet whether I was buying from him or selling to him, it was always personal. He would often remind me how much he enjoyed regularly visiting with my uncle for services my uncle's Reform Jewish temple and hosting my uncle for services at his Orthodox temple. That was a rare embrace. In business, Louis was a tough negotiator but he concluded every transaction in the true spirit of "mazal", sincerely wishing me good luck (after beating me up on the price). A generation and a long-gone era of the diamond business die with Louis. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Louie Glick was my father  in-law Rabbi Ovadia Dubin zl shabbos chavruta for many years. After davening in the early minyan in the young Israel of Far Rockaway they would learn together for about an hour. I remember at the time when I married my wife in 1977 they were learning thru sefer hachinuch. I also remember how my grandfather Reb Yaakov was fond of him. He would lovingly call him Louie. Whenever I spoke with Louie what stood out for me most was his pure humbleness. That midah of his was apparent to anyone who came into contact with him from the first moment. A real loss to klal yisrael.

Louie was my uncle Sydney's brother who I only met a few times when my Father, Herb Weiss was cutting Diamonds for Louie.
My father only had praise for Louie, for being a great businessman and a great  person !
RIP  Louie !
