

Marcia was born on July 5, 1940 in Passaic, New Jersey to Irving and Rose. She grew up in Flushing, Queens where she lost her mother at a young age to cancer. Her father Irving remarried Anne, who was a wonderful Stepmother to Marcia and sister Sheila. Marcia then lived most of her adult life in Manhattan where she raised her son Richard.
Marcia worked at AT&T for 39 years. She started in the mail room and worked her way up to a senior member of the Public Relations Department. She was a devoted working single mother who raised her son in Greenwich Village and Roosevelt Island. She was adored by her family and everyone she met, she loved to tell stories of her life and travels. She was kind and had a compassionate spirit. Marcia married later in life to John Anderson who passed in 2011. They lived in East Brunswick, NJ, where she was President of the Milltown Lions Club. She was also an elected committeewoman in East Brunswick. Marcia loved going on cruises with her best friend Ellen, feeding the slot machines in Atlantic City and most of all she loved spending time with her favorite person in the world, her grandson Hudson. She took him to fun places like Hershey Park and Disney World and talked with him every single day.
Marcia is survived by her son Richard, daughter-in-law Allison, grandson Hudson, sister Sheila, nieces Lisa and Robin, several cousins, grandniece, grandnephews and many, many friends.
Marcia is once again reunited with her parents Irving, Rose, Stepmother Anne, her favorite Aunt Ruth, Uncle Matty, Aunt Sarah, and husband John.
