Marge grew up in Simpson, PA and was the 5th of 6 children of John and Cecelia (Stephanides) Fendrock. She left Simpson for NYC and fell in love with all that the city has to offer. She began working as a stewardess for American Airlines and then completed nursing school. She eventually worked her way into management.
Marge wanted to “give back” and volunteered at a nursing home until she was in her seventies.
Marge enjoyed a very dry Beefeater Martini in her younger years. As she got older, she enjoyed a glass of red wine with dinner. She liked pinochle and poker until she fell in love with bridge. She was a member of a local bridge club and was proud of her achievements in the game. Marge also loved traveling. She visited all 7 continents and over 50 countries. She was a passionate debater. Marge loved her family. She instilled the virtues of learning, strength and independence in her nieces and nephews as well as wander lust.
Marge is survived by her sister-in-law Janice Fendrock and by her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her beloved husband, William Lambert and by her siblings and their spouses: John and Lillian (Petreshock) Fendrock; Cecelia (Fendrock) and Andrew Zurine; Rose (Fendrock) and Valentine Sarnoski; Augustine Fendrock; and William and Rose (Urda) Fendrock. She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law Loretta (Murray) Fendrock, nephews Charles Fendrock and Alan Rowe as well as by her niece Suzanne (Sarnoski) Bilow.
