I was so sorry to hear of Marvin's passing this past week.

I worked with Marvin at M. Shanken in both New York and San Francisco and am fortunate to have had the opportunity. I will cherish those memories of working alongside him and everyone else at MSC. Thank you Marvin!

The wine, cigar, whiskey and food world has lost an advocate and friend.

Samantha, Allison, Jessica, Hazel and family my deepest condolences.

To the Shanken Family,

I extend my deepest condolences to you. Marvin's death is a loss for so many, but especially for you. A former MSC staffer and longtime contributor to the trade publications, I was blessed to know and to have worked for Marvin. He showed me great kindness and support over the years and I'm grateful that I was able to thank him for that the last time I saw him. Please know that you are in the thoughts of so many at this difficult time, Terri Allan.
