Mary was an amazing person.  I worked for her on the MS trading floor.  She taught me so much about the business while making every day fun.  When she and Mark started their family I learned that balancing career and family was possible. 

Mary was a mentor to me for many years beyond my days working for her. I always looked forward to her Christmas cards.  They were a reminder of every lesson she shared with me.

Mary will be missed by many, but her friendship and kindess will be remembered forever.

I am so sorry for your loss.  

I met Mary at Camp Tegawitha.  We stood beside each other for Dress Parade.  She was in her McDevitt saddle shoes and I was in my Mercy saddle shoes.  Little did we know that her brother, Jerry and my twin, Jack would become great friends at LaSalle.  Jackson really admired Mary's spirit.

I am so sorry to hear that Mark and her children lost such a special person.

I met Mary in 1983 when I began my career at Morgan Stanley.  Mary was a wonderful person.  To the Gallagher family, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I went to grade school & high school with Mary.  She and I were not close, but Mary was always very sweet to everyone and, as a young girl growing up, her kindness had a huge impact on me.  What a smile Mary had!  I remember her hair in braids, that she and Vicky were best friends (hi, Vicky!).  From time to time, when I would visit Glenside and happened to pass Roberts Avenue, I sometimes wondered where Mary ever landed.   

To Mary's husband, Mark, and their children, Alex, Catherine, Carolyn, and Laura, please accept my condolences on your dreadful loss.  The photo of Mary – her face still looks the same and her smile says it all.  Simply put, she was happy because of you.

To Mary's parents and siblings, and extended family, my heartfelt sympathies to each of you.  My condolences to each of Mary's friends, as well.  You all are in my prayers.  I leave you with something once offered to me in sympathy, because it now seems so apropos to Mary - 'To know a rose is to know God; to know that a wilted rose will bloom again in Spring is to know an eternity.'

My thoughts and prayers are going to all of you - Mark, Alex, Catherine, Carolyn and Laura and Joanne, Alice and Jerry on this sad, sad occasion. I wish I could be there to give you all a big hug. Mary was brilliant, beautiful and influential. She will be terribly missed by all with whom she came into contact. I'll always remember the dinner she put out while still in treatment last summer. It was a gourmet feast for over 10 people in her beautiful Ocean City home. What a classy gal.

Mary was our classmate in French back in high school.  She was bright, funny and of course beautiful.   Not surprised at this very full life described in the obit and in these comments on the legacy page.  She made such a positive impression on everyone, all the way back to high school days.  Our thoughts and prayers to all her loved ones.

When I met Mary 17 years ago, she teased me because I was pregnant with my 4th child. 12months later she was pregnant  with hers - we joked about that for 13 years....much love to Mark, Alex, Catherine, Carolyn and Laura, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I was one of Mary's clients at Standish in Boston.   She was a great professional and a good friend.  My wife Laura and I will keep you all in our prayers.

I worked with Mary for three years at Morgan Stanley. In that short time I was fortunate enough to find a great friendship that I cherish to this day. Her sense of humor was always refreshing in a stressful environment, and her smile would light up the floor. My heart goes out to her family, know that she was a person who made an impression on all who knew her, and that she will always be remembered.

I first met Mary as a client of hers while she was at Morgan Stanley.  We quickly developed a friendship that we continued for 18 years long after both of us moved on professionally to other firms.
