Mary Purcell

Purcell, Mary, 86, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Royal Park Nursing Home in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born on July3, 1930 in New York City, NY. She was a daughter of the late Michael and Ann Gilligan. Mrs. Purcell retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield with more than 40 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Purcell. Mary is survived by her two sons: William Purcell (Kitty) and Kevin Purcell (Diane); a sister, Ann Ruddy; four grandchildren: Teague, Kyle, Brendan and Allison and four great grandchildren Liam, Claire, Connor, and Owen.

There will be a visitation at the Chas. Peter Nagel Funeral Directors, 352 East 87th Street (between First and Second Avenues), New York, NY 10128, on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 3PM-5PM and 7PM -9PM.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10AM at the St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church located at 135 East 96th Street, NY, NY 10128 (East 96th Street & Lexington Avenue).
