Matthew was born and raised in NYC, and also lived in Israel, FL, and NJ. He attended Village Community School, Stuyvesant High School and Tufts University and graduated from Touro. He was an avid walker, fond of dogs, and very interested in and knowledgable about Jewish history and liturgy.
He had a serious side, seeking out opportunities to explore difficult questions, and also had a great sense of humor, delighting in telling jokes and funny stories. He was outgoing and touched a lot of people. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul.
Survivors include his mother, Vivien, as well as his siblings, cousins, nieces, nephew, aunt and the rest of his large, loving extended family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Matthew’s memory to a charity of your choice.
