My name is 'Fran' (Francine Hamel) and I knew your sister Missy well as I had travelled with her on our cross Africa tour with Encounter Overland in 1979.  As I rummaged through old photos, I came across my diary of that trip and decided it might be nice to try to trace her. The first thing that popped up on Internet was the sad story of her death published in the newspaper. I immediately recognized her. Missy was adored by  everyone, she took care of her friends really well. After our trip, I had gone to visit her a few times in Manhattan and she always organized lovely outings to show me around. I loved her creativeness...and her lovely accent! I am French speaking and live in Montreal, Canada but at the time of our friendship, I lived in Ottawa (Ontario). So many years have now gone by but often I have thought of her and her sweet nature.
