Our 16-year-old beloved son Munhuush (Munkhmandakh Lkhaasuren) was born on June 26th, 2008, in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. He was also known as Mo to his close friends, coach, and mentors. Munhuush studied at Richard Green High School in Manhattan and regularly attended the NYC Cops and Kids boxing club in Brooklyn, where he demonstrated a deep dedication and passion for boxing. He loved being in the boxing ring with his friends and often attended boxing events with his clubmates. In his spare time, he also worked part-time at Chef’s Choice Grocery Store in Brooklyn.
Munhuush was the most cherished child in our family and one of the happiest members of our community, school and boxing club. Tragically, he passed away on January 20th, 2025.
A public, open casket visitation for Munhuush will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frank E. Campbell - The Funeral Chapel, 1076 Madison Ave, New York, New York 10028.
A graveside committal service will occur Friday, January 31, 2025 at 8:30 AM at The Green-Wood Cemetery, 25th Street, Brooklyn, New York 1232.
