

The cause of death was multiple organ failure.
Born May 9, 1931, in Spanish Harlem New York, he spent his early years as a welder, until he settled into his long term career as a Drug Counselor with Beth Israel Medical Center. He devoted his life to helping others, providing individual counseling and support for those suffering from addictions. When he retired, he spent his days playing pool with friends, for which he was known to be quite talented.
He is survived by his daughter Dolores Concepcion, Grandsons Mateo & Chase, and son Darryl. Newton was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sandy, his father Roberto, and his mother Dolores.
Services will be held on October 23rd at 2-5 and 7-9 at the Andrett Funeral Home, 353 Second Ave New York NY. Burial will be held the following day at Mt Olivet Cemetery at 11am. Relatives and friends are welcome at either ceremony to pay their respects.
