Always in my heart Peter…❤️❤️❤️

Dear Peter,
   I've been rereading the condolences here at this site, today, the 6th anniversary of your passing, and they give me solace. I remember you today, and I miss you--though, as time goes on, the pain of your passing lessens. I am thinking of your family and other friends at this time.

Vivian, I also remember Peter on Aug. 30 each year since his passing.

What a bright light he was, and what a strong and cheerful person and dancer. I can't recall any time when I didn't see Peter smiling.

I say Peter's name out loud during the prayers of the people at church, have lit many candles for him, and will do again this Sunday.

It is through our memories that Peter and other loved ones continue to live among us.

    I am remembering Peter on this day, as I do, every August 30th. I miss him very much. My deepest condolences, once again. His death was such an unexpected shock to me, but time has begun to heal that wound. RIP, Peter. You were loved.

Every August 30th, I think of Peter. I miss him and his incredible, uplifting quality. Shortly after he passed away, I printed out his Facebook profile picture to frame for one of the many altars I have in my home to the ancestors. It is hard to believe he is one of them, but I do accept that, now. As time goes on, that gets easier to accept. RIP, Peter. I loved you.

To Peter's family.  Please know that Peter was loved and respected by so many children and adults alike for all the passion and "self" he put into his teaching and for making his classroom a place where students could try their absolute best and not be afraid to fail.  It's possible that for all the love and support that he couldn't give himself, he gave to others and made their lives brighter.  

My daughter is 21 now and no longer dances but her experience studying with him (as well as my experience) will remain in her heart and mind for the rest of our lives.

I was fortunate to get to know Peter  Frame in Nutcracker. He was a lovely genuine person with his  midwest sincerety and honesty. He was an elegant dancer and a great performer. On stage during a performance he would whipser bawdy jokes to keep you awake on stage. I adored knowing him. I remember him sweety decorating pinecones backstage. He had a boyish quality mixed with an elegant manly sophistication. He was funny and enjoyed laughing at the ironic ways of life. He was generous and kind and a great teacher. He cared about his students and  encouraged them dance full out and not hold back.I feel priviledged to have known him and the dance world  will miss him as will all the people whose lives he touched.

This was written by my daughter, Eleanor Lavin, right after Peter died and I feel so evokes his teaching, presence, and kindness that I wanted to share it here:

Sometimes you receive news that’s hard to fathom. Thank you to one of my biggest mentors and forever an inspiration. Thank you for the constant corrections whispered thoughtfully into my ear at the barre. Thank you for the support, love, kindness, and warmth that you consistently showered me with. Thank you for the healing crystals, the sparkly barrettes, and the Balanchine impersonations. Thank you for stepping out of your classes before I was even your student to come say hi to mom and give me a kiss. Thank you for supporting me way after I had left BAE. Thank you for ingraining in me a love for ballet and for dance that will forever be a part of me. Your stories, corrections, and kindness will forever live on in all of your students.

Peter and his brother Paul were friends of mine since  Crescent Grade School in Beckley, WV.   They were both good friends who used to come to my house after school.  We did not see as much of each other in high school and they moved before our senior year at Woodrow Wilson high school.   They were both good friends and genuinely nice guys.   I am so sorry for the family 's loss and it is still hard to believe that he is gone.  We reconnected on Facebook a few years ago and it was so nice to correspond again.  Prayers for the family on this tragic loss.🙏

I met Peter only recently. He was a client where I work, and the first day he came in, he sat at my desk and we talked like oldest friends, not realizing everyone else, including my boss, had left! 
He literally glowed; with enthusiasm for his students, with spiritual progress which he shared so generously with me, and with life itself. He gave me so so much. I will never forget him, his beautiful eyes, and his spirit. I pray he is at complete peace and utter joy. I'll think of you often. 

I am so disheartened by this sad loss of a wonderful man and dancer.  I knew Peter in the NYCB when I was Piano Soloist there.   Also I worked extensively with him in Seattle when he came to PNB  (Pacific Northwest Ballet) to teach the ballet, AGON with Francia.   I played all the rehearsals for both of them.....and became quite close to him at that time.   He was not only an excellent pedagogue....and teacher, he was very kind and patient with the dancers.   I thoroughly enjoyed working with him.  He is very missed by all who knew him......My condolences to his family and friends....bless him.

My deepest, heartfelt condolences to Peter's family, friends, and fans. He will be missed very much. We met in NYC, when I was studying ballet, and he was in the NYC Ballet, along with his twin brother, Paul. We did not meet very often, but he was extremely kind and warm to me, starting when we first met, and that made my day. Years later, after I had already left NYC and was living in CA, we became friends on Facebook, where we commiserated on various topics. I even confided in him about my own mental health troubles, and he was his usual supportive and nurturing self.   A "light" has gone out. He was really one of a kind, and I will miss him very much. I take comfort in the fact that his spirit lives on, though, in the hearts of those whom he loved and who loved him back.  

I studied at Beckley Dance Theatre School at the same time as Peter, Paul and Miriam.  Peter touched many lives with his art. My thoughts and prayers are with Peter's family, friends and the dance community.
