I am deeply saddened to hear of Philippa's passing.  My condolences are extended to her family.  Philippa was a kind, elegant and beautiful spirit.  We are all better for having known and loved her. Rest in peace, my friend.

I want to share my deepest sympathy to Allan and Sophia.  Thinking of you and sharing the sorrow of your loss.

I was honored to attend the memorial service yesterday for my dear friend and colleague, Philippa. The opportunity to speak, however briefly, with Allan, Sophia, Phaedra and Michelle was special.

My life is richer for having had Philippa in it. She was a marvelous lawyer, but more importantly, an exceptional person - warm, worldly, erudite, compassionate, loving. As Allan and Sophia struggle with their loss in the days ahead, they undoubtedly will take comfort in the knowledge that their wife and mother was a gift that they enjoyed in all their years together and one that will keep giving forever.

My thoughts are with Allan and Sophia. Your wife and mother was very special.

I knew Philippa and was one of her many friends at University in London in the early 1980's. I hung out with her friends Louise and Sue too. She worked hard but always had time and a kind word of encouragement for you. She was graceful, very beautiful and nothing was too much trouble for her if she could help. She had a wonderful laugh and a broad smile and it was always a pleasure to witness both. 

My wife, Elaine, and I were lucky enough to meet Allan at her wedding in London and we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon eating and dancing with friends, a splendid speech by A.J. Planchard and a funny, but amusingly inappropraite joke from Philippa's uncle who gave her away that day. We knew that Philippa had made a wise choice of husband and would be very happy in her life.

My extraordinary friend Philippa has passed.  But, I will cherish the memory of her, and her love of life, family and friends will remain an inspiration to me, always.  My deepest sympathies to Allan and Sophia, her sisters Phaedra, Tonia and Michelle, her in-laws Diane and A.J. Planchard, and all who knew and loved her.

My sincere condolences to the family. I recall meeting your loved one and chatting about her beloved dog, whom she showed off. She seemed to be a lovely lady.
