Born on July 15, 1956, Phyllis was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie and her Sons, Ronald Joseph (Cara) and Jake Ryan (fiancee Kylee). Her Grandchildren, Cameron and Mason, Sisters, Patti Dugan (John Mastro) and Justine Dugan, her Mother Margaret Dugan, and her nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Johnny, Michaela and Gavin. Phyllis is predeceased by her Father Joseph and her Sister Nancy.
Phyllis's greatest joy was raising her two Sons, Ronnie and Jake. She dedicated her life to nurturing their growth, supporting their passions (so many sports activities), and celebrating their accomplishments. Her happiest years were filled with laughter and unconditional love as she watched her boys grow into compassionate, strong young men. Phyllis was a very spiritual person and a devout Catholic. She made sure her Sons attended the very best Catholic schools in New York City to place an emphasis on a great education and strong moral values.
The beach held a special place in Phyllis's heart. She enjoyed spending summers on Long Beach Island, where the whole family would gather, it was her happy place. The Long Island sun birthed many of Phyllis’s signature freckles and despite her fair Irish skin she could hold and maintain a very nice tan. To this day, her Son’s often try to replicate the unsweetened lemon iced tea she would fill jugs with on long summer beach days.
The holidays were Phyllis' favorite time of year. A time when she could enjoy the presence of her loved ones, decorate her home, and make her wonderful dinners. She was an excellent cook, adored her beloved pets, and she loved all genres of music and enjoyed watching old movie classics.
Being the funny, passionate, caring person she was, Phyllis will forever be remembered by the laughter she shared and the compassion she lent to her family and friends and her essence will live on in these cherished memories. We can take solace in knowing her Gypsy Spirit is finally at peace with her beloved Sister, Nancy
