Rhoda B. Resnick, born March 22, 1930, passed away peacefully at her home in New York on March 15, 2026. Alongside her best friend, teammate, and husband of 76 years, Jack H. Resnick. Rhoda was a beloved matriarch and anchor of her family: children Caryn and Steven; grandchildren Rachel, Jessica, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren Micah, Tavi, and Dylan; and extended cousins. Born a first-generation New Yorker to Russian Jewish immigrant parents, she attended the first women’s graduating class at CUNY’s City College campus and went on to nurture her love of learning as a public-school educator and guidance counselor. Rhoda will be remembered for her deep love of people and living life to its fullest, her intellectual curiosity and wit, and her bright red lipstick.
