I first met Ricky when I moved up to the upper east side at a local bar named Brady’s and he was kind enough to make me feel welcome with him and his brother Jamie, he always looked out for me and made sure I was ok like a older brother would . My life will never be the same with out you brother I’ll always miss you and will always remember that huge smile and huge hug to come with it . May you Rest In Peace brother ❤️

I met Ricky at STAC my 2nd year of college. We became friends fast as he did with all our other roommates. It was hard not to become his friend because of how he was. Of course he was very funny & just entertaining to be around but much more important than that  he was real and genuine as a person could be which I find to be rare.  As we became close friends I felt lucky to have a friend I can always trust to be there for me. Those years as a young person were not always easy & fun and having a friend like Ricky to talk to or just hang out with was priceless. That’s just the kind of person he was. He was selfless &  he cared about his family  & he cared about his friends...sounds like a simple thing but it’s not.  I’ll always remember the general 3Q crew fun and shenanigans at STAC, spring break at Cancun with Ricky & his brothers Ed & Ozzy. I’ll always remember working part time as a Doorman at 86th Street... hanging out with Ed, Noel, Zack and others. Thanks for that Job Mr. Carrasquillo. I’ll always remember just all the good times we had In the city & and at college.  I’ll always remember all the stupid pranks we pulled on each other like when you put my bed (made and put together ) outside right in the middle of the school courtyard. That took a long time to get back in my dorm room. I’ll always remember just being able to laugh about anything even if I was in a bad mood.  I’m sorry we lost touch for a while in recent years but Ricky always checked in to see how I was doing and I did for him as well. I’ll always regret not trying harder to reconnect and taking for granted how precious life is. Bottom line is being Ricky’s friend will have an everlasting positive effect on me & I have a feeling I’m not the only one who shares that sentiment. Until we meet again Rick & I know you are in a better place. RIP

Ricky and I went to stac together we joked  laughed and were always real! He was a guy you can always go to for a talk or a laugh! He made you feel like you were one of the guys! Rest easy god only gives you what you can handle and god felt you did your duty!! I’ll see ya later never a good bye!

Ricky and I have been friends since the day we meet. Summers as little kids you didn’t see me without Ricky or vise versa. Weather It was the basketball courts upstate New York or the Basketball courts at Asphalt Green.  Ricky and I did everything together. I remember this one play we used to do called the “Ed and Jeff”, you see when we were young Ricky always looked up to Ed and Ricky hated losing to him as well . We’d  spend hours trying to figure out how to bet them. Eventually we did, but  the play consisted of passing the ball as fast as we could consistently until a quick shot was made., that’s how Ricky perfected  such a great  jumper when we were young. 
     Our friendship dates back over 30 years and we still spoke at least once a month via phone call or message, I feel like I lost a brother but know heaven gained an angel. I feeling is hurt  but blessed at the same time, Hurt because I lost him and blessed because of his motivation and positivity helped me be the man I am today. Ricky never let our friendship go and you can be sure I will never let his memory fade. He will forever be a name spoken in my home.

Ricky and I were friends in high school, he was always so friendly and kind and cracking jokes, we became better friends through social media over the years, I've struggled with depression at times and Ricky was definitely one to take notice and inbox to ask if I was doing okay, he was a genuine person, he cared so much for others. He always made me feel better about myself and always would lend an ear if I needed it. He was a true friend, the night of our high school reunion which I organized, I begged him to come until 11 o'clock that night but he just couldn't make it, I even offered to drive to the city to pick him up, I desperately wish he had come so I could have returned all those virtual hugs he gave through the years. Rest Peacefully, my friend, I was the lucky one to have known you and call you my dear friend. Until we meet again, you will be missed. 

My sincere condolences go out to Ricky's family. He always put a smile on everyone's face.  He is gone from this world way to soon, but heaven definitely gained an angel.  May be rest in peace.

I am so sorry to his family & friends! He was a great guy...I am so sorry for everyone's loss.  May he RIP and his legacy always be remembered.

Ricky and I met in high school and we instantly connected. We were such good friends. We could talk about anything, from the weather to his love life. He was the kindest man with the biggest heart. He could smile through anything. I know that I brought many smiles to his face. I’ll always be known as HollieWood, bugaloo or my favorite, Killa. Me and Ricky were Co worker's but on the first day standing outside I realized that we were more than that and we were we instantly became like brothers that's the the kind of feeling Ricky gave you. He can turn a long day into a short on because he kept you laughing and we shared so much conversation work felt like a hangout .I love you  my brother you gone but will never be forgotten I will miss you until we meet again  to the family  and another brother David I send my deepest Condolences  and love

Ricky watched my girls grow up in the Arcadia.  He took care of them and all of the rest of us.  His smile, good nature and dedication to my family and all of the residents of the Arcadia will be dearly missed.  We wish his family our deepest condolences.
