My deepest sympathies to the McTiernan family.  It was an honor to have known Mr. McTiernan.  A true gentleman & exceptional attorney.

The McTiernan's are a great Xavier Family, Damn this weather, know that our hearts and prayers are with you and that we are sorry for your loss, it has been an honor to be acquainted with 3 generations of your family.

I will miss Mr. McTiernan a great deal.  I remember as a youth, when I maintainenced the BHYC tennis courts, sticking around on Saturday and Sunday mornings to watch the men play.  There were some characters there for sure.  Mr. McTiernan was incredible.  Joking the whole time and never missing a shot.  Remember him gingerly chasing a ball over his head and with his back to net, hitting it for a winner between his legs and down the line.
Later in life I got to know Mr&Mrs McTiernan while doing work on their house.

i am very fortunate to have met a man of Mr Mctiernan's stature.

Sending my condolences to the McTiernan and McManus families along with the hope that they will find comfort during this time.  Roger's warmth and wit will be dearly missed.

Our sincere condolences to the entire McTiernan family during this difficult time. Mr. McTiernan was a role model to the kids growing up in Stuyvesant Town and the Rockaways and he instilled the same qualities of class and grace in his four wonderful children that he himself carried with him his entire life. May he rest in peace!

Mr. McTiernan gave me my first job during law school, the basis being my Irish name and the fact my father went to Xavier. He was a gentleman and a role model.
