I am writing this more than 6 years after all the other condolences were written, but I just found out tonight that Ronna Weiss is dead, and I gasped when I saw the news.  I typed her name into a search engine to find out what she was doing, and I didn't even see the obituary on the first page of results (which were all about her publications), I had to ask for a second page, and then I saw the obituary.  There can't be more than one Ronna Weiss who was born on August 31, 1951, plus she told me that her Hebrew name was Tzivia Rachel, so it's got to be the same Ronna, whom I met in my senior year in college at Columbia, when she was a graduate student in Teacher's College.  I did not expect to find that she died 6 years ago, when she was only 67.  But she did tell me that breast cancer ran in her family, and I wonder whether that was why she died so young.  If anyone is still reading this website, please tell me what you can about the last few decades of her life.

Ronna was my best friend during our college days in Cleveland. Always smiling, funny and fun-loving, she was always encouraging and selflessly there for you when you needed her. My life is much richer for having known her. Her untimely passing shocks and saddens me profoundly. Why is it that the best always leave us so soon?

I'm so very sorry to hear of Ronnas passing.  I remember her being so nice, so friendly and always smiling.  We all rode the bus together to school. You have my heartfelt condolences.

Dear Steve, I am saddened to hear about Ronna. May your sister's memory be a blessing, and remain in your heart, forever.

Rachel was one of those people who always had a kind word to say. Anyone who has ever known her would agree. She put her heart and soul into everything she did. Rachel was a true fighter right up to the end. I will miss you very much and truly hold you close in my heart.
