So many laughs. I miss that young man. He livened up my work life and my life in general.

It is with a heavy heart I write this message.  I wish to send my deepest condolences to his wife, Doris, his children and grand children.   Sam spoke often and fondly of you to me.  You brought him much joy for sure.  I worked with Sam for several years  at FDU.  His kindness, genuineness, humor and support of the students, staff and faculty were  so noted.  After transitioning from FDU to Rutgers University - Sam maintained contact with me - periodically touching base with me on how I was doing, my children and life.   He is a special man and I know he will be deeply missed.   My thoughts and prays during this very difficult time.  

I was sad to hear of Samuel's passing. I knew him from working at Fairleigh Dickinson University when I was with the School of Nursing.  He added much to the faculty and students he taught. I offer prayers for him and his family.

Yesterday, when i received the news that Sam passed away I was so upset. I knew Sam from FDU’s Department of Psychology, and although I worked at the Center for Psychological Services, I did see him at numerous office occasions.  I will never forget how nice he was giving me advice on many different matters regarding work issues and home.  We spoke many time about his wonderful family, his past jobs, and his wonderful vacations.  He had a nice sense of humor since he made me laugh at times. He will be missed by many hearts he touched, including mine.  God bless him and i am sure he is with an angel now.  All my love, Annabelle

I will miss Sam so much! He was the most considerate, kindest, and most helpful colleague in my time in the School of Psychology. His thoughtfulness, sense of humor, and deep faith, were truly wonderful qualities. Deepest condolences to all Sam's dear family, he loved them so much.

Sam was very special. He made my job in the Psychology Department at FDU  a lot easier. Knowing him was a blessing, he was very thoughtful, kind, and considerate Sam will  be remembered in my prayers . My condolences to all his family

I worked closely with both Sam and Doris.  We would kid that I was his "work wife" when we worked together at Yonkers Public Schools.  The memories with both Sam and Doris are countless.  We were not only colleagues but friends.  My heart is heavy learning of his passing.  My deepest condolences to the family

My deepest condolences to your family.  Sam was a person who always gave more than he took and was such a powerful force of kindness and generosity.

My deepest condolences to the Feinberg family and friends. Sam was always very considerate and welcoming to everyone. He never turned down a student or staff member who needed his assistance at the School of Psychology at FDU. He will be missed. 

I met Sam through Doris when we were working together at School 13. Doris and I worked together for many years and over that time I got to know Sam better both professionally and personally.  Sam generously shared his knowledge and expertise with his colleagues, even to the point of mentoring me in my role as 504 Chairperson after he had retired from the YPS.  He had an optimistic outlook on life and a wonderful sense of humor.  He always found a way to make me laugh, no matter how down or frustrated I might be feeling.  Thank you, Sam, for all the times you made me laugh when I really wanted to cry.  I’ll miss you.

My deepest condolences to your family.  Sam created a warm and welcoming atmosphere at FDU; I felt this from the day I interviewed for a faculty position to the day he retired, and even beyond during his visits to the school.   We have many artistic reminders of Sam’s influence in the department, but what he bestowed most durably was the inviting culture of community.  

My Dear brother was the most loving, kind, compassionate and generous person one could know.  Sam, you will be missed.

Dear Sam.  What a treasure.  He welcomed me as junior faculty and provide so much support by just being there.  Always a smile.  So caring.  Sam and I always worked up the calendar of Jewish holy days so his department and others could plan and accommodate our students.

Sam was a special person in my life and will certainly be missed by so many.  I first met Sam early in my career when he supervised my graduate students.  Sam reappeared in my life when Doris was accepted into our first Psy.D. class.  Sam was there to bring Doris to class and to take her home.  With his wealth of experience and wonderful reputation we hired him to join our faculty.  Sam supported and influenced so many of our students with his knowledge, his laughter  and his generosity.  It was always a pleasure to come to the office and to interact with him.  The world was indeed a better place with Sam in it!  

Our leader, advocate, spokesman and always there to share his thoughts regarding any issues we might bring to him.  A personal Uber or Lyft for Doris.  Dropping her off at school, picking her up for lunch, redepositing her at school for the afternoon session and then retrieving her to share their lives together at home.
Always a quick wit, and simultaneously ready for a serious discussion whenever merited.
He had our backs.
We'll miss him dearly.

Sam was our Senior Psychologist. His guidance was sincere and if there was a problem, Sam was our fixer. I remember calling Sam after the first day back from Summer vacation, questioning my choice of school assignment for the up coming year. Sam reassured me, knowing  my new Principal personally and reminding me, some day I will thank him. Thanks Sam, you were right again, and I will truly miss you.
