To the incredible Schwartz family. 

Sam and all of you were so important as role models to me growing up...starting with the fact that you were  cool older kids, and also because I could tell you were parents who knew a lot about life in the world that I could only imagine. Knowing you made me want to spend time in Eastern Europe, which I got to do in the mid 80s.

Sam and all of you also brought our parents, Sivia and Art, immense joy because of the combination of traits they loved in people: your authenticity, warmth, and intellect.
Sam's memory is a blessing to me.

Deep condolences from the community on Hurst.  Sam was a good neighbor and a good man. His faithfulness is inspiring.  His life stories were amazing.  His memory will be cherished.  May he rest in eternal peace

We are so very sorry for your loss.  Sam was a wonderful neighbor, great sense of humor, and very caring to us.  He and Veronica were so kind and helpful. Dear Schwartz and Rosenthal Families:

Your dear father, grandfather, father-in-law, etc. was an inspiration to all of us to live an authentic and observant life.  Whether through his adherence to Orthodox Judaism through ritual practice to daily education in appreciating the sacred texts, Sam (Sandor) served as a strong example to us all.

May G-d welcome him into His holy chambers and may you all feel a sense of pride and appreciation for the life he lived.
