She was a wonderful person. Kind, encouraging,
amiable. I live in Israel, but, when I lived in Southfield, I attended many programs, speakers, etc.  at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, as well as Young Israel of Southfield.

Sherri always greeted me warmly and had great, upbeat things to say.

Chaim, I was sad to learn of Sheri's passing and wish you strength during this difficult time.  Of course I remember vividly her talking with my aunt Lucille Weisberg almost every week during Shabbat services.  She sat one row ahead of Lucille, but that didn't limit their conversation.  Sheri was always beaming and speaking with pride about you and your children.  Then, when you were ready to begin with the liturgy, she was quick to hush all of us and tell us it is time to listen intently to the Chazzan.  Sheri was a very special lady and may her memory always be for a blessing.

Dear Cantor Najman and Family,

We were saddened to learn of the loss of your beloved wife, mother and grandmother.  Like so many others here in Michigan, we have only the fondest memories of both Sherry and your entire family.  She rejoiced with all of us at our simchas, always had a warm smile to share, opened her home to guests, and was a source of strength and support in difficult times.
We hope you are able to take comfort in the loving support of your extended family and friends, and know that all of us, even from afar, are wrapping you with our love.

Dear Cantor Najman,

Baruch Dayan Emet.  Sherry was always so kind to me throughout my childhood, when the two of you had me over for a memorable second Seder in Jerusalem in 2006 while I was studying at Hebrew U, and at the time of my wedding.  I am so sorry for this loss and am sending love from Detroit.

Dr. Sherry Najman always treated me and my wife with love and respect. She had a smile at all times. We are saddened by her passing. We will remember her for all she did for Shaarey Zedek, the Detroit community and Jews everywhere.

Dear Cantor Najman,

Our heartfelt sympathy for your lovely wife.   As soon as I read such sad news, I pictured her smiling.    She always had a big smile for everyone.    I always enjoyed talking to Sherry because we were both reading teachers.   She taught me how to make pop up books with my students.  They loved doing it!  

Sherry was a very special person and I can’t begin to imagine what a difficult loss this is for you and your family.   

May her memory always be for a blessing.
