Simone Beltran, née Verna, passed on Thursday January 29, 2016, after a three month illness. She had recently celebrated her 81st Birthday on January 12th. Simone had been a resident of the Parkchester neighborhood in the Bronx since 1978 and had worked as a certified nurse’s aide in the New York area for many years, up to her retirement in January 2000.
During her time in Parkchester Simone attended both St. Raymond’s Catholic Church and St. Helena’s Catholic Church. She is survived by two of her nine siblings, a younger brother and an older sister, both residing in Florida. She is also survived by her one son, his wife, and one grandson living in Atlanta, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be directed to St. Raymond’s Parish, Bronx New York.
