

She is survived by her sons Ross and David, daughters-in-law, Susan and Julie and grandchildren, Jake, Bruce, Seth, Erica, Evan and Will.
She is predeceased by her husband Bruce, her son Mark, and her daughter-in-law, Bernice.
An accomplished pianist and choreographer, her noteworthy television career started in Boston, hosting WGBH’s Meet the Arts, WBZ’s Sonya Hamlin Show and WCVB’s Sunday Open House. Sonya was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcaster's Hall of Fame in 2009.
A jury expert and consultant, Sonya went on to be a pioneer in the field of courtroom communication, and trial advocacy.
Author of five books, she had clients all over the world. Her works are archived by the Boston University Library.
Admired for her achievements by people around the world, Sonya was untouched by her celebrity.
A long time resident of New York, Sonya was a member of the International Women's Forum, New York Chapter. Her beloved book club of over 35 years was a highlight of her colorful circle of friends,
She will be missed by all.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, August 17, at 2:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 West 76th Street, New York NY.
