Sonya Rothenberg

Born: October 24, 1925

Passed away peacefully on October 30, 2022 after a full life with scarce regrets. Sunny is survived by her loving children, Linda and Joanne, their husbands, Stanley and Robert, her grandchildren, Pamela and Claudia, their husbands, Nick and Cameron, and her three great-grandchildren, Coraline, Oren and George, all of whom, she adored. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Helen, and a wide extended family, including nephews, grandnieces, a grandnephew, many other family members, and her many, many friends, whom she loved.

Sunny was an able ballroom dancer later in life, an avid golfer up to age 95, and a virtuoso amateur bridge player, up to the end. Most importantly, Sunny enjoyed the company of all, always learning, always engaged, always welcoming and always kind. Although life brings challenges for everyone, Sunny was able to get the most out of it. Sunny lived with robust energy and enthusiasm right up to her 97th birthday. Sunny, we all miss you in our lives. And we celebrate the life you lived.
