He loved painting and was an accomplished watercolorist who studied at the Art Students League and Academy of Design. His paintings hang proudly in the houses, offices and fishing lodges of his friends and family around the world. He began his love affair with fishing for trout at age 8 and has been an avid fly fisherman since 1960. He was a member of the Anglers’ Club of New York and truly enjoyed spending time there. His passion for fly fishing took him all over the world, though he particularly loved the rugged landscape and beauty of Iceland which inspired both his painting and his fishing.
