I am just learning of Susan's passing and I'm so very sorry for the girls. 
I wanted to share with you one of my happiest memories with your mom. It was the fall of 2016 and we were sitting on the floor going through hundreds of photos for the girls special Christmas photo albums. We laughed, shared memories and sang songs by The Eagles and Rolling Stones - yes we did! We walked down memory lane,  laughed and smiled over the adorable pictures of you girls growing up. It was a special time that I cherish.

My heart is so saddened by this. I just loved Susan! She was so sharp, and bright, and quick-witted. I will always be grateful for the laughter she brought to my life. To her three daughters, she loved you so much! She spoke of you often and always in high regard. Even if you were far away, you were always close to her heart. Danny and Robert, she loved you two dearly and always enjoyed her conversations and time with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Susan was the epitome of life and laughter. I had the privilege of meeting her at Avon Books. We shared many lunches, always most enjoyable. She held a classy party. Her vibrant blue eyes and effusive manner always was something special. I think of her always as an exceptional presence. I am just one person who had the privilege to know her. I will always remember her, she was special.

I worked with Susan while she was a volunteer leader at Duke.  One lasting impression I will always have of Susan is her great love of and commitment to her children.

We are so, so sad to have lost not only a dear friend of over 12 years, but one of the brightest members of our very special Atlanta book club.  We have many wonderful memories of Susan's brilliant asides and commentary during every single concert, play and cultural outing we ever attended together.
