
In the briefest of histories, a shining 100 years of Broadway publicists and their “influence,”now mostly gone, Susan L. remained steadfastly the wide eyed champion of theatrical magic. She always put her clients first, reveling in their talents and protecting their need to share those talents without compromise. She taught me a lot during my days in the Biz, and though not close, was always checking in to be sure I was okay. “When the curtain goes up, it’s ours,” wrote Lauren Bacall, whom Susan represented in, and with Applause. Curtains up, dear Susan L. It’s yours now.
