Susan was the beloved wife of Ross Wisdom, adoring pet owner of Rupert, Tink, and Wally, and dear sister of the late Ann Levy. She cherished Micki and Larry Wisdom as her in-laws, and was the proud loving Aunt of Stacy, Alden, and Giles.
She loved all animals and loved to travel. She took great pleasure in taking Ellie-Mae to work as a healing therapy dog to children (the Read program) and seniors, to bring them comfort and joy.
She performed as an actress in many Off-Broadway plays, including Pulse Ensemble Theatre, where she performed in their inaugural production on Theatre Row of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, excelling in the leading role of "Ranyevskaya"; and the 29th Street Rep, where she dazzled audiences in the play Pig. She taught and was most beloved at the Singers' Forum, where her "Pirate Jenny" performance always brought the house down.
She studied at the Bronx School of Science and Miami U.
She has many adoring friends, who will also miss her deeply.
Susan had a smile that brought radiance and joy to all who saw it.
She will be deeply missed. This earth is a sadder and less compassionate place without her. May she continue to shine her light on us.
A Memorial Service for Susan will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 W 76th St, New York, New York 10023, on March 8, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
