
Virginia Jane Kelly born December 5, 1933 died last Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her home on the Upper East Side. Virginia was a lifelong resident of New York City's Upper East Side. She grew up attending St. Monica's Church. She spent many happy days at the East Side House socializing with family and friends. Virginia worked for the Archdiocese of New York and was a devoted volunteer in the Catholic Church in her retirement. She was a thoughtful, kind person who had many friends in her Upper East Side neighborhood. Virginia was also a loving wife to her late husband John Kelly. She was the only sister to three brothers: Bobby, Jim and the late Arthur Loudon. She was known as Aunt Ginny to her many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a role model of faith, kindness and thoughtfulness to others. She will be missed.
There will be a brief visitation period on Tuesday, September 30, 1914 beginning at 8AM until 9:30AM at the Walter B. Cooke Funeral Home, located at 352 East 87th Street (between First and Second Avenues), NY,NY 10128 (Telephone #: 212-535-1500). This will be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Of Hungary Church located on East 83rd Street (East of Third Avenue) at 10AM on Tuesday. Her Interment will take place at the Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
