February 24, 1922January 7, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Alice Maxine “Mac” Coleman announces her passing. She went to be in the presence of her Lord Jesus on Monday January 7, 2019, at the age of 96 years. Maxine will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nancy, Arthur, and Robert. She will also forever be in the hearts of her 15 grandchildren, Melanie, Toni, Tuesday, Thomas, Ezekiel, Zacariah, Donald, Cheryl, Lee, Karen, Lisa, Jennifer, Eron, Rachelle, and Robert and all of her great grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her loving Husband, Arthur G. Coleman and eldest son, Donald. Maxine will also be fondly remembered by her “other kids” and “regulars” at the Wendy’s restaurant in Saugus, CA. Maxine worked there for over 25 years after she had retired. Often referred to as the “mint lady”, her smile, hard work, and feisty personality made visiting this restaurant more unique, fun, and enjoyable.

A viewing will be held at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary 23287 N. Sierra Hwy., Newhall CA on Tuesday. January 15, 2019 from 4-8 PM. A Graveside Service in memory of Maxine will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 1:30pm at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery 1700 Cabrillo Memorial Dr, San Diego, CA 92106 to join her husband Arthur

Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Maxine to their local church or one of Maxine’s favorite charities- The Fred Jordan Mission of Los Angles (https://fjm.org/donate).

Maxine, you were one of a kind! You put up with us crazy kids like we were your own. You blessed us with your sass, your humor, your wisdom, and your wonderful heart. I am saddened by this loss, but, I am overjoyed that you are home in the presence of our precious Lord!!
