I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of Antoinette. I had an opportunity to work with her at the Department of Veterans Affairs. She was outstanding in every category you could imagine! May she Rest In peace & comfort. Warm blessings to her husband & family.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Antoinette. 
I am in such disbelief at the thought of writing this about such a beautiful woman. 
Antoinette always knew how to bring her coworkers from the LA Regional Office together for Happy Hour, from a dinner cruise in the Marina to spaghetti and drinks at Busbys.
Antoinette was my supervisor on the Post-D team and she made work and exceeding our goals fun. Once when we made team of the quarter she let us celebrate with a parade......Jason and John carried the banner, and I carried a Christmas tree.🤣
To Ron, kids, and grandkids, earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
To the Queen, rest easy, job well done. ♥

I met Antoinette while working in finance.  She was funny, smart and generous with her time and knowledge.  After she moved on to Veterans Service Center she continued to be just the same.  Always willing to help and always had a plan.  She really loved her family and always spoke of them with a smile in her voice and eyes.  She will be missed.  Rest well know and know that you will be remembered.

Antoinette’s footprints were by far enormous, both wide and deep.  An all-around genuinely kind, authentic, warm, and caring person, Toni’s zest for life was infectious to me and virtually everyone around her.  Your presence and essence will be greatly missed…thank you for the wonderful memories – I will treasure them forever.

Antoinette was one of a kind. She was kind, hilarious, caring and one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met in my life. She was one of the first people I met when I started working at the VA eleven years ago. She was the type of person who was always so genuinely excited for everyone else’s accomplishments whether it was related to work or you were getting married or having a baby. It didn’t matter, she was always there to celebrate with you. I will never forget her laugh or the chuckle under her breath when something was so bad it was funny too. On this day, her birthday, we will celebrate her amazing life and all of the joy she brought to everyone around her. I will miss you, Antoinette, but I am so thankful for the time we had together. 

My dear cousin, I will always have fond memories of us growing up together and making memories in our teenage years and early twenties. Your heart was huge and your laughter was contagious. I will love you forever. 

Antoinette was a beautiful person. We did not work directly with each other in the same  unit but we work in Veterans Service  Department at the VA. I remember many times we would cross paths and we would speak  to each other at work. She always had a kind word to say. But I must say that when I first met her I thought she had a ghetto way about her. But she was still cool. I am praying for Ron and her entire family. Rest in Peace  Toni. We will meet again.

Dear cousin you will be truly missed my heart is so heavy because Im still trying to understand. We all loved you but God loved you more you are in his hands now no more pain only smiles and laughter with Grandmother makes me happy. Antoinette was authentic.  She was a genuine and kind woman that left an impact.  She loved her peers, Veterans and sought to see the good.  She experienced life to the fullest and she always made sure she  brought everyone along for the ride. 

 Inclusive. Loving. HILARIOUS. Caring. Witty. Passionate. 

She was an amazing person, that brightened everyone’s day, even on those worst of days.  She will be  missed, but her spirit will continue to light our way- Her’s is a fire that cannot be diminished!  It lives in everyone she touched! Its up to all of us to continue to carry that torch

To My Dear Friend Antoinette,

I decided to write you this letter to let you know how much I will miss our conversations, your constructive feedback, your laughter, your smile, your outspokenness, for being my friend and a trustworthy colleague.  I will miss seeing your various hair styles and most importantly seeing you.  I want to also thank you again for talking me into wearing wigs.  Thanks for being my mentor in every position you held at the LARO and for being a strong, respectful and great leader whom I admire very much.  I cannot thank you enough for the quality time you shared with me because time is a precious gift.  I wish we had more time to laugh and chat together.

As I reflect on many wonderful memories, I am filled with sadness and grief.  And I send my deepest condolences to Mr. Luke and your family.  

As a Christian, I strongly believe when we transition, we are absent from the body and present with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8) I may not know the date and time of when I’ll transition, and the fact is no one knows except the Lord.  My faith leads me to believe I will see you again.

So many memories come to mind when I think of Antoinette right now. Birthday brunches/dinners, Jolly Oyster, backyard grilling, jazz festival, after-work drinks, Vegas, Mexican cruise, etc….but of all these memories, two stand out the most. (1) The pure excitement she had when I announced I was pregnant with my daughter and (2) seeing both her and Ron sitting with Fabian as he laid in a hospital bed. These two memories represent the type of friend she was. She was there to celebrate with you during your greatest moments, but she was also there to support you during your most difficult ones. With her you were never alone. You always knew she would have your back… during the good, the bad and everything in between. 

I was lucky enough to have known her for 15 yrs. 15 yrs of laughs, fun, adventure, travel, amazing food, great drinks, conversation, life-altering changes, professional changes, but most importantly, friendship. 15 yrs wasn’t enough. Wish Antoinette was still here so that more memories can be created, more experiences can be shared…. but I know God had His reasons and so I’m grateful and blessed for what I was given. 

Thank you Antoinette for your friendship and love. Thank you for opening your arms and heart to me, Fabian and Brianna. I’m sorry you never got the chance to meet her in person but know she will grow up knowing your name and the impact you left on her mama and dada. You will forever be a part of our family. We love you! Always have, always will!!

Antoinette was my supervisor my last two years at VA, but she was my friend for more than  25 years. Always bright, energetic, funny and caring.  My heart is broken at your passing and I shed just one tear for your husband Ron and your family.  As they do, I celebrate your life and the joy and happiness you shared with so many of us. Antoinette was my first friend in LA. We moved to LA not knowing anyone and one day at work she just started inviting me to stuff. She invited everyone to things, she was inclusive. 

I don’t think I was really part of the office before that and I was definitely not part of the city of LA. Ron and Antoinette dragged us all over the city to the weirdest places and made us drive hours to eat something new or take advantage of an amazing happy hour. We truly lived in all of LA because of Antionette, everything from Irvine to Riverside to Santa Barbara in search of something fun to do for the day. 

When we moved away and found ourselves homesick for LA, Ron and Antoinette visited us again and again, continuing to travel anywhere to have an adventure with friends. Reminders of her are everywhere. Our family will be incomplete without Aun-T Luke. 

In loving memories with  Antoinette Morrissette-Luke, my family's hearts are with you and your family. May your soul rest in peace in the arms of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. 

I miss you very much. I remember your lovely smiling, your wisdom, and your warm encouragement. Thank you very much for all you have done for me and my family.

I met Antoinette after moving to a new city and starting a new job. She was my supervisor, but quickly became a valued mentor and close friend. She welcomed me into her social circle, listened to my complaints and frustrations, my hopes and fears, made me laugh, and just as frequently, made me think. How quickly and easily she became a fixture in my life should have been a clue as to what a special human being she was. I only worked with her and lived in the same city with her for about 5 years, but she immediately felt like someone I'd known all my life, and she continued to be a beloved friend and someone who I thought about almost daily after I moved away. I'll cherish every single memory that remains of our good times together, our laughter, and all the valuable lessons she taught me--overtly and covertly--about how to be a great spouse, a great parent, a great professional leader, a wise and accepting friend and an exceptional listener. 

RIP Toni Luke. For the relatively short amount of time you were in my life, you made an enormous mark and a lasting difference. You'll never be forgotten.  

Toni was such a beautiful, bright, and shining light in our world. She was charismatic, wicked smart, and beyond infectious with her love for people! If you ever got the opportunity to know her you know that being around her was like feeling the sunshine on your face.  Just being in her presence made you feel better as she always had the best smiles, laugh, and wonderful life lessons to share.  She gave to an overflowing capacity to everyone in her life, whether it be family, work, friends, and strangers.  I was honored to have met her, called her my friend, my mentor, and make her part of my family! I will forever be in indebted to her as she made me grow both professionally and personally in my life.  The world has definitely lost a fierce and amazing woman who has left a legacy beyond measure and she will forever be imbedded in the hearts and lives of those who loved her!

My heart aches to know Antoinette’s mission on earth ended so soon.

In my opinion, God could have kept her among us for many years; for he knows how many hearts she touched, including mine.

I cannot remember exactly when I met her, but I think it was in Finance, 30 years ago. 

I remember when Ron and Antoinette got married, also when Demetri got his cataract surgery because I got mine the same year.  

Ron and I worked in the same team, and shared the same four employee-cubicle.  

He was totally smitten by Antoinette.  I could never get tired of the way he looked at her.  The most beautiful love story.    Ron and Antoinette were a couple made in heaven.   

Both were the most genuine, funny, loving, caring, hard working, people in the world, and the best cooks as well.   Too bad the Food Network did not get a chance to try their recipes. 

I pray God grants Ron, their children and grandchildren peace.

I am certain that Antoinette’s legacy will continue through her children for generations to come.

My love and thoughts are with Ron's family, Antoinette’s family and every single person that is hurting right now because of her early departure. 

May God keep us, protect us, enlighten us, guide us, and grant us peace.

I met Antoinette back in 2008 but really got to know her 7 years ago when we both attended RVSR Training in Baltimore, Maryland. 
It was the end of our training class and I stayed behind to review a claim; i sighed and she responded "whats wrong Juliet" (I had no idea she was sitting behind me). We both reviewed the claim together and she helped me put the pieces together!  That afternoon we talked for hours and got to know each other; I immediately felt her sincerity and kindness she was truly genuine. Ever so often she would text me or IM me letting know of little couple getaways that had  great deals! It was a honor to know her and  have her as a friend, confidante, mentor...you will be missed ...I love you amiga, It's not goodbye it's "see you later until we meet again". 

I will miss Auntie Antoinette so much!  I loved her spirit and outlook on life. I am so grateful we got to spend time together! We explored the city and saw an awesome play and it was just a great time. I wish I spent more time with her but I am forever thankful for our time together and are many conversations. Auntie, you will be forever missed!

You were the needed influence in my life when I needed guidance in my life.  Your loving smile, humorous jokes and love for all of humanity will be missed.
