Dear John and family so sorry to hear about Betty. She was such a loving and great person.  I just received an email this week 7/2/12 and heard about her from Class 0f "59".  Sorry I am so late but did not know.

I have ao many fond and cherished memories, especially of Betty, who I always felt she was like a sister to me.  She was there for me when I went through my darkest days, as well as my brightest. Dear Uncle John and Cousins, how do we describe Sweet, Sorrow & Joy together? Aunt Betty and the whole  family have always been a big part of my life and the lives of Ilene and our children. She was the picture of giving and family all rolled into one, when we needed to all get together she would always pull it off and leave each of us with great memories.

When a kid had no place to go and needed direction and something to eat, again Aunt Betty was there even if it disrupted her routine. So many of us have been touched by a great life that was placed on this earth for a short time, the faith that she demonstrated even until the end always praising God for the moments is an example each of us can follow. Her constant hunger to be pleasing to her Savior and to share Him by example to others will be a memory many of us will hold onto.

Betty was a great sister as well, many times I would watch over the coarse of my life as she was there for my mother Dorothy her older sister. My mom would spend many afternoons and evenings with Betty over tea or coffee sitting at the big maple table on Aztec street while us crazy indians would play out side. So many Sweet memories will always be treasured in my heart and the lives she touched.

Aunt Betty sure had the gift as a connector, she would always be there to connect people together, I know this gift as it has been passed through my mother to me. Keeping family close is so important, while Betty has gone on to glory, to walk though eternity with the Love overflowing in her from the presence of Jesus our Savior. We here will always have that little place of Sorrow to have missed those moments that Betty would reach out and show her love toward you. You know the times, for me it will be most defiantly on my Birthday, you see Mine is the day just before hers and as long as I can remember she would call on or before my birthday wishing me as I wished her the happiest of days.

Aunt Betty, Go rejoice before our God for a season until we all meet again at the great banquet where each of us will surround the table and break bread as one great big family. Your Sweet memories and love will live on in so many, the joy that you gave will be pressed down and will multiply in the hearts of others. I could write Volumes on how blessed My family and I have been with your love, and joy of life! but I feel they would only allow a certain space here on this post.

I have known Betty and her family for about 35 years, and have never had a more loving and devoted friend. Ernie and I were on vacations together to San Diego, the Carribean, and 2 bus trips to Canada.  We prayed over each others families over the years.  We cried and laughed together and encouraged each other.  I moved East to Ohio and Pennsylvania In 1993, and for 19 years she called me every week if I didn't call first, to say "I just called to see how you're doing."  She was the best friend I ever had.  It was a privilege and honor to know her, but I know where she is, and I can't wait to see her great smile and get a hug from her when I get to Heaven.    Shirley Martin, {Hershey, PA.}

Im sorry for the lost of an Awesome Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt. I know that nothing I can say will take the pain away, just remembering when I fifteen my family & I came out for visit aunt Betty drove Michael & I all over the place we had lots of fun. sorry didn't get to visit much as I would have like to but doesn't mean I loved y'all any less. Betty always wanted to make everyone's life better. It was Betty that brought her son John and I together. Betty has touched my life in a big way. Betty was loved by family and friends. Betty will be missed.

The world is losing a great prayer warrior, but God is gaining an amazing woman.  Betty has been calling me about once every couple weeks for about 3 years so we could pray for others.  Betty was always thinking of everyone but herself.  She was a lovely lady and I will miss her and her phone calls greatly.

It's times like the this that the miles are the hardest. I have fond memories of Betty, from visiting out there to when they came home here with Tom & Cindy. That was a good time. Our family here sends their condolences too.

My grandma is a wonderful women. She always had a helping hand. Nothing was too big or too small for my grandma Betty. She always had a smile on her face. Her great grand kids will always love you and miss her. They love going to great grandma's house. She would always make them good food to eat. Emaily her great granddaughter has the best memory's of her painting their nails and grandma giving her lip stick. Its hard to put so many thing into words for grandma, She will always be my grandma and Christopher and Emaily's great grandma. You will have a place in our heart for ever. We love you grandma Betty.
