Dear Brian,

I know we didn’t get a chance to hang out much, but i do cherish the few times we spent together. When you used to come over my house with your dad/ my Uncle Skipper when we both were little and the time we went to Knotts Berry Farm together were good times. I will truly miss you.

A memory of Mr. B, that’s my name for Brian. Words at this time is hard because it just came from nowhere, but knowing that Brian knew that I was there (thank you Angel) will have to be, even though I wish I had more time, but it said God make no mistake, but this hurts. You will be missed, Mr. B!

Brian, my neighbor—my childhood friend, my brother. I am still in shock and disbelief that you are gone. I will always cherish our childhood memories. We used to walk home from Annalee together, and it’s because of you that I’m not afraid of dogs. I remember being ready to run when one approached us, and you told me, “They can sense your fear, so don’t show that you’re scared.” 

You will always hold a special place in my heart. May you rest peacefully and send my love to Bob, Sally, and Keesha in heaven.

Since middle school when we used have sleepovers all the pranks we used to pull. Mrs baker computer class and  Mr evenson robotics class . The times when they used to call home from us acting up !! When we first start talking to girls on the phone 😂 All the memories from 6th grade kids to 35 year old men . I’ll cherish every moment I spent with you.l love you brother and I know  from our last conversation you’re in heaven ! Always and forever in my heart Brian Leon Smith 🕊️

Even as a kid you were younger than me and showed me how to get my license at 15 you were always ahead of the curve,  a true leader in every aspect of life !! 🙏🏾

Nights out on the town with friends , I’ll always remember how you made everyone around you fill better about themselves because of the confidence you instilled in yourself I love you brother !!💙

My first New Year’s living in Vegas you pulled up to come celebrate.

Getting fresh for the party. Had to be between 2006-2009

Brian was my first baby before I had my own. He was the first baby I babysat overnight. When he first started talking, my name was one of the first that he pronounced. His mom and I got so excited over that. I remember when my ex boyfriend and I went to visit, and Brian wasn’t having it. He sat in between us, or on my lap, and he wouldn’t allow him to kiss my cheeks. I will forever cherish those memories.

With a heavy heart, I share the loss of my brother, Brian. Although we didn’t grow up side by side, I was his only big sister, and our bond was real and meaningful. He is also deeply loved by his big brother, David.

What hurts the most is that we had just talked about spending more time together this year. I truly believed we had that time, but God had a different plan.

Brian had a style of his own he loved to dress fly and that’s something I’ll always remember about him. We would always talk about business, life, and just “fly things,” and those conversations will stay with me forever.

My heart is heavy, and I’m still trying to understand this loss, but I hold on to my faith through it all.

I find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, free from pain. I’m grateful for every moment, every conversation, and the love we shared.

I will carry him with me always.

Rest in heaven, Brian. You are deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.

In Loving Memory of My Big Cousin, 

I will cherish every memory we shared together. Thank you for welcoming me into your home and for the love and care you showed me when I needed it most. Like many cousins, we had our moments, we would fight, argue, and get on each others nerves but the love was always there. I even found myself wishing I could have been more a part of your family, like Auntie Angel being my mom and you being my older brother, but when you got on my nerves I was thankful you were just my older cousin 🤣 The one thing I wish I could change is  telling you “I love you” more often and not staying as close as I should have.
I thank God for the time I was blessed to spend with you and Auntie Angel. I look forward to the day I see you again. Save me a spot and make sure the seat is pink lol I will love you forever, cousin. Rest in paradise.

I'd like to offer my condolences. It can't be easy what you're going through, but the Bible has many verses that can comfort you. And this doesn't surprise us: “For all the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction,f so that through our enduranceg and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope”. (Romans 15:4).
Look at the encouraging words the Bible gives us: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted;
He saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Many are the hardships of the righteous one,y
But Jehovah rescues him from them all”. (Psalms 34:18,19).
God is with us especially when we are sad and encourages us through his Word.
