I was working at Universal Studios in the mid 80's. One day as I was walking into the building I was working on I noticed this guy was standing by the door, and as I walked by he started this incredible Stanley Laurel monologue. I looked at him and I said "don't I know you?" He responded by saying "5837 Agra Street," which was my address in the LA suburb of Bell Gardens in the mid 50's. Bryan was a childhood friend, even though he was a couple of years older than me. We spent a lot of our time together watching Laurel and Hardy. I had moved away in the late 50's and lost track of him, so it was a real surprise to meet him again after all that time. He was working as a driver at Universal. We got together a couple of times and then I didn't see him for awhile, so I asked one of the people he worked with about him. "You mean Dixie" and she said he was in Vegas with his band. I did not remember that he played the sax, but saw some of the pictures of him at about that age holding his saxophone. I was very sad to learn about his passing. A friend on facebook had mentioned a Brian Walker, and I told my wife about this childhood friend and meeting him again. We googled his name and this memorial page popped up. He was a good friend, and I have thought about him often over the years.
