Clyde Van Banks Jr was born September 25, 1930 in Los Angeles, California to Clyde Van Sr and Irene Banks. He was the second of four children. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, brother Norman, sister Coralann, and wife Elsie of 60 years.
After attending school in Los Angeles, he enlisted in the US Army and served from 1947 to 1951 where he received numerous accommodations and awards. He later met his wife Elsie; they united in holy matrimony in 1950, Clyde and Elsie moved to Pacoima and were blessed with two sons, Jeffrey and Steven.
Clyde belonged to numerous camping clubs, hobbies included traveling, fishing, boating as well as many other recreational activities and lived his retirement years to the fullest.
Clyde leaves to cherish his memory sons Jeffrey and Steven Banks (Percella) grand children, Ninia Estes (Anzsu) Nicole Cibulka (John) Steven II(Safiyah) and Diashawn. One sister, Erma Soto, sister-in-law Barber Banks and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends
