Cruz E. Abadsafian

January 30, 1967March 29, 2012

When Cruz E. Abadsafian walked into the room, those in her company felt energy, an enthusiastic spontaneity. This was just one example of who Cruz was and how she impacted those around her. Cruz was a clever and gregarious person who always sought out the finest attributes in other people. It was as if Cruz wanted to share all of their experiences, revel in their lives and celebrate their discoveries. Cruz was tireless and had boundless enthusiasm that would serve her well throughout her life.

She was the daughter of Cruz and Aurea Rivera. Always at the ready with a good joke, she grew up to be quite a humorous person. While some who knew Cruz might describe her as an idealist, her friends and family understood well that Cruz was always in pursuit of life’s endless possibilities and opportunities available to her.

Cruz was uplifted by new ideas and was excited by life’s possibilities, traits that made her an exceptional worker. Her primary occupation was management. She was employed for 20 years in the medical field. Cruz was enterprising, inventive and working against deadlines seemed to energize her. Cruz had the uncanny ability to identify a win/win solution to just about any problem, possibly because of her gift for insight. Cruz's fellow workers saw her as a supporter and a mentor.

There was always a certain style and inventiveness to Cruz. She was a dynamic, self-expressive person who was forever looking to celebrate the endless possibilities life had to offer. She had a knack for being clever, creative and witty, and for others, was a joy to be around. While she was often fiercely independent, it seemed as if many others looked to Cruz Abadsafian for inspiration, leadership, wisdom and even courage. Cruz was always more than willing to share life’s experiences with her loved ones.

My cousin Cruz inspired me to be the woman I am today. She encouraged me to set my goals in life and reach them no matter what challenges I encountered. She wanted me to enjoy every moment of my life as I am sure she pushed others to do the same. Cruz was a beautiful person inside and out. She has left a piece of that beauty in all of us. May we all pay it forward and create beautiful moments with all of our loved ones.

Cruz was one of the people I would look up to. She was so smart, loving, had a heart of gold. she had the biggest heart. Always with a smile on her face.I couldn't ask for a better sister. when I was younger. I remember my dad taking me to Boston to see my brothers and sisters. Cruz used to let me play with her long hair. I don't remember alot of things but the things i do remember was great just to have the memories I have of her.. Cruz you will always be in my heart. Gone but never forgotten...I love and miss you always estrellita
