When in fact, he was an opinionated man who sought to impact and receive wisdom by engaging in intellectual conversations with those around him. Those close to him knew of his deep passion for politics, his love for the Ogoniland and his ultimate desire for peace and unity amongst its people to promote a prosperous environment for all.
Desmond was passionate about his work, politics, civic engagement, friends, and most importantly his family. Unequivocally, his profound happiness was rooted in the happiness and successes of his wife and his daughters- Golden Eggs, as he would commonly refer to them.
