He was born in Tetillas in 1954 to Nicolasa and Tranquilino Espitia, he was one of 7 children. Later in life, Efren would come to open Brothers Burgers in 1996 after having worked in restaurants since he was a teenager. His tireless work ethic would be what supported his family with Berena, his longtime partner and mother to his 2 youngest sons.
Efren was a loving father to Nick, Juan, Rosario, David and Joseph, who dearly miss him and will carry memories of their father near and dear to their heart always. They will forever remember the hard working, strong, and charismatic man he was. He took great pride in being a parent.
He was an honest man and immensely loved by his customers and friends of over 20 years. Anywhere you saw him, you would see him with a big smile. And that is how he will always be remembered by those who loved him.
Efren was preceded in death by his parents and oldest sister, and is survived by his children, Nicolaus (Rebecca) Espitia, Juan Jasso, Rosario Jasso, David (Anali) Espitia, and Joseph (Andrea) Espitia; and his 7 grandchildren, Edwin, Eviana, Jessica, Hayden, Emma, Ezekiel, and Eliana.
