1920-2012
Frances Lee File, 92, passed on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Astoria Nursing Home in Sylmar, CA. She was born February 7, 1920 in Los Angeles, CA, to Herbert and Marie Myer. Frances lived in Southern California all her life, of which most of it was in Agua Dulce. Her parents bought a weekend place there in 1927. Frances married George File in 1939. They had a daughter and son; Frances spent most of her time as a housewife but she also had many jobs in sales. She loved animals ~ she was always saving strays which she would find homes for. After her husband passed in 1978 she took care of Foster children for many years. She always loved her home in Agua Dulce, and in 1992 she was awarded Pioneer of the Year. She loved family, home, small creatures, and the LA Dodgers.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband George File, her mother Marie Myer, and father Herbert Myer. She leaves behind her daughter Penny Gibson of Saugus, CA; her son Steve (Glenda) File of Arleta, CA; grandchildren: Tom Gibson of Phoenix, AZ; Shawn (Tami) Gibson of Saugus, CA; Aaron (Darlene) File of Morrison, CO; and Nicole (Joey) Boilo of Surprise, AZ; great-grandchildren: Shay and Jake Gibson; Natalie, Dariia, Nathan and Melissa File; Grant Boilo; and many very loving friends.
