Among Francisco's many accomplishments he received a basketball scholarship from University of Arizona where he earned his bachelor's degree. He then served in the Army during the Korean war and later returned to the University of Arizona to get his Masters. In 1960 Francisco and his wife Anita moved to the Santa Clarita Valley where he worked at Placerita Jr. High School. There he taught for 10 years and was a guidance counselor for 24 years.
Francisco enjoyed poker and loved all things basketball. Perhaps his greatest joy was his family. His stature was big and so was his personality. He brought life and happiness to all that knew him.
Frank was preceded in death by his sons Martin and Francisco Jr and granddaughter Melissa.
He is survived by his wife of over 65 years Anita, daughter Gloria, her spouse Charles, daughter in law Lori, his 5 grandchildren, their spouses and 8 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Our Lady Perpetual Help 23233 Lyons Ave, Newhall, CA Thursday, February 21, at 11 AM. There will be a viewing 30 minutes prior at 10:30AM. Followed by a burial at Eternal Valley.
In the lieu of flowers the family ask that you make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or your favorite charity in Francisco's name.
