Our dear mother Geraldine (Gerry Pat Hed) Hogan a beautiful mother, grandmother and friend, is now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Full of love, laughter and resilience, she leaves behind a legacy of service to her community, marked by her unwavering commitment to justice and her kind spirit that touched countless lives.
Mom was a trailblazer; a single mother raising two daughters, one of the first female deputies of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and a pillar to the community of Santa Clarity. Breaking down barriers for females in law enforcement and an inspiration to all.
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Kernville California, mom was drawn to a career in law enforcement from a young age, becoming one of the first female deputies in Los Angeles County. Throughout her 34 years of service, she proudly served her community with distinction, consistently demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a strong work ethic.
Mom was known for her deep connection to the community, often going above and beyond her duties to support local initiatives, including volunteering for Friends of Heart Park, helping with the annual Pow Wow and using her love for quilting by providing leadership and support with her dear friends at the Santa Clarita Valley Quilt Guild.
Beyond her professional and community achievements, mom was a cherished family member, devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Her unwavering support for her loved ones and her infectious enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed.
