Gundy Grant Tollefson

February 3, 1944 – May 5, 2021

Gundy is survived by his wife, of more than 28 years, Katherine Tollefson, his daughter Elizabeth Tollefson and his grandchildren, Tyler Tollefson, Amanda Tollefson and Jake Tollefson and brother David (Brenda)Tollefson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna (Williams) Tollefson, parents Helen (Fobes) and Leonard Tollefson, his sister Carol (Tollefson) Henry, his brother Mark Tollefson and his sons Michael Wayne Tollefson and Thomas Gundy Tollefson. Gundy passed away after a brave battle with MDS, a form of leukemia.

Gundy was born at L.A. County General hospital and spent his youth in the San Fernando Valley where he played football and graduated from John H. Francis Polytechnic High School. He spent his adult life in Saugus and Newhall. He was active in the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a member of the Santa Clarita Elks.

He was employed in machine shops where he was promoted to management. He loved to ride motorcycles and camp in the desert with his friends and family. He was an avid fisherman and spent many days fishing with his friends and family.

A service will be held at a date to be determined.
