

Hugh was born on January 13, 1930 in Danville, IL to Homer and Ora Lee Marxmiller. He grew up in Phoenix, and then moved to Eaglerock, CA as a teenager. He graduated from Eaglerock High School, and went to Pasadena City College. Hugh married his high school sweetheart, then joined the Marine Corp and spent most of his four years at Cherry Point, NC as an electronic engineer for the Helicopter Squad. He was very proud to be a Marine. After the service he worked for JPL for almost 20 years, then Ralph M. Parsons Company for 15 years. He was co-owner in Southfork BBQ Catering Co. and My Bookie Bookkeeping Service. He loved church, camping and just being home.
Hugh is survived by his spouse and soul mate of 24 years, Patricia "Patty", children, Lisa Marxmiller, Jason Marxmiller, Douglas Phillips and Kimberly (Martin) Jacobsson, grandchildren, Ethan, Sophia, Hope, Emma, Natalie and Lindsey Jacobsson, brother Wallace Stevenson, nephew Craig (Jo Ann) Stevenson and nieces Karen (Jim) Colombini and Pam Stevenson.
Services will be held on January 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eternal Valley Memorial Park, Chapel of the Hills, officiated by Rev. Wayne Wilson. Inurnment will follow at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, Garden of Inspiration. Please join us for a potluck after the service at the Jacobsson's.
