Iris Blue-Bowie

Iris Mauryne Blue-Bowie, was born February 19, 1956 in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a child, her family relocated to Los Angeles County in 1959. Iris later moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1984, to start a family of her own.

She was a devoted child of God, wife, and mother. Iris gave her life to nurture, to train, to educate, to rear and to love not only her own children but also, every child she ever came in contact with.

Iris went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 22, 2012, at 3:53 a.m. She is survived by: her husband of 30 years, Randy C. Bowie; three adult children, Jamaal, Travell, and C.J. Bowie; and one grand-puppy, Bubba Bowie.

Iris was a well-respected member and active volunteer in the Santa Clarita Valley. Widely known for her efforts at Sky Blue Mesa Elementary, La Mesa Junior High, Canyon High, Canyon Country’s AYSO and Little League Organizations.

Her spirited personality and warm heart will be missed most of all. Iris brought rays of sunshine into the lives of those she knew and loved. Her life did so shine before man that they knew she was truly a child of the living God and Saver. Now she is home with the Almighty God, as ever lasting joy abounds with her for eternity.

Praises and Glory be unto God, for she will surely be missed.
