
Born on September 25, 1937, Jack lived a life marked by faith, hard work, kindness, and a deep love for his family. He was known for his gentle spirit, warm heart, and genuine kindness toward everyone he met. Many who knew him spoke of how sweet and caring he was, always ready with a smile and encouraging words.
Jack began his career as a mechanical engineer in the space program, working for Lockheed and other aerospace companies during a remarkable era of innovation and discovery. He took great pride in contributing to projects that advanced aerospace technology and helped shape the future.
Later in life, Jack continued his family's business legacy. When his father retired, he became a business owner when he acquired Cohea Muffler Service and purchased Young's Radiator, successfully operating the businesses for many years. Through dedication, integrity, and hard work, he earned the respect and friendship of customers, employees, and fellow business owners alike.
Jack was a true world traveler with a passion for adventure. Alongside his beloved wife, Dolores, he explored the world and created countless cherished memories. Together they enjoyed an extraordinary 78 cruises, visiting destinations across the globe and sharing experiences that enriched their lives and strengthened their bond.
Above all else, Jack was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose steady support and encouragement left a lasting impact on those he loved. His Christian faith was the foundation of his life. Through his example, he introduced his children to Christianity and the church, leaving a spiritual legacy that will continue for generations.
Jack and Dolores were married at the San Fernando Church of Christ, and worshiped there for many years. While Dolores taught, Jack became a deacon and later an elder. Jack was a faithful member of Simi Valley Church of Christ, where he worshiped and built lasting friendships. He will be greatly missed by his church family and all who were blessed to know him.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores Ruth Cohea; his daughters, Melinda Ruth Cohea and Melissa Anne Kilway and her husband, Kyle Kilway; his son, Kevin Wayne Cohea and his wife, Svitlana Cohea; and his cherished grandchildren, Megan Leigh Pennington, Kyle James Pennington, and Kevin Raymond Pennington.
While his family mourns his passing, they rejoice in the assurance of his faith and take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior. His legacy of faith, kindness, generosity, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
