James Elkins Dalton

James was born on August 25, 1934 in Enid, Oklahoma. James was a licensed electrician and before he retired worked for Anheuser Bush for 23 years; he also held past jobs at Hams Brewery, Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery, Rocketdyne, and Santa Fe Railroad with his father. James served his country honorably with the United States Army.

James is survived by his son, James W. Dalton of Castaic; his daughter, Susan Gibson of Fernley, NV; 5 grandchildren; and his best friend and love, Susan Devanso of Camarillo. He is preceded in death by his father, William Marion Dalton; mother, Arnita Elkins Dalton; and son, Steven Quint Dalton.

His family said that “his passions included golfing, bowling, and dancing with Susan.”

A funeral service will be held on January 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in the Chapel of the Oaks, 23287 N. Sierra Hwy., Newhall, CA 91321. Interment will follow at Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
